In the overall Prosperity Index rankings, El Salvador has fallen by 9 positions from 82 to 91 when compared to last year. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2006, El Salvador has moved down the rankings table by 12 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, El Salvador performs best on Health and Personal Freedom and scores lowest on the Safety & Security pillar. El Salvador did not show an improvement in any pillar rankings when compared to last year , whereas they dropped 24 places on Social Capital.
