Paraguay is 61st in the overall Prosperity Index rankings. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2007, Paraguay has moved up the rankings table by 19 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Paraguay performs best on Health and Personal Freedom and scores lowest on the Governance pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Social Capital increasing by 45 places, whereas they dropped 9 places on Safety & Security.
