Serbia is 56th in the overall Prosperity Index rankings. Since the Prosperity Index began in 2007, Serbia has moved up the rankings table by 8 places.
In the Prosperity Pillar rankings, Serbia performs best on Education and Safety & Security and scores lowest on the Natural Environment pillar. The biggest positive change, compared to last year, came in Social Capital increasing by 16 places, whereas they dropped 8 places on Personal Freedom.
