Prosperity Institute appoints its first CEO
22 Apr 2026
22nd April 2026: The Prosperity Institute is pleased to announce that Paul Coleman will join the Institute as its first Chief Executive Officer in June. Paul’s appointment to this key role follows the incorporation of the Prosperity Institute as an independent Company limited by Guarantee and equips it to push forward with its ambitious research and education strategy. Paul currently serves as Executive Director of ADFI.
Michael Green, Board Director of Prosperity Institute said:
“Paul is an exceptional and talented leader. He has spent his career defending the values and freedoms that underpin prosperous societies. He brings a strong track record of building ADFI from the ground up into an international advocacy group, managing complex legal and policy caseloads across more than 80 countries. He has also developed a highly regarded training programme, the Arete Academy and is widely recognised as a leading international voice on free speech. His decision to return to the UK reflects a deep conviction that these principles need championing here at home, and he is well qualified to scale up the Institute’s work in the UK and internationally. We could not be more pleased that he has chosen to do that work with us.”
Alan McCormick, Partner, Legatum, added:
“The Prosperity Institute is illuminating some of the very best ideas for the advancement of individual and national prosperity around the world. Paul’s appointment strengthens the independence and professionalism of the Institute and reinforces an already formidable team.”
Paul Coleman said:
“I’m honoured to join the Prosperity Institute as its first CEO at such an important moment for our country. The Institute has an exceptional team with a clear vision and strong sense of purpose, and I’m excited to help grow its impact in the years to come by advancing the principles that drive national prosperity.”
The Prosperity Institute is an independent entity, with the mission to protect and advance the principles and ideas that create national prosperity. The Institute is operationally independent of its founder Legatum and governed by its own Board of Directors.
