Is the National Trust being mismanaged?
This report assesses the extent to which the National Trust has been mismanaged in recent years by examining the charity’s approach to heritage conservation – or in many cases lack thereof – and its pursuit of irrelevant and often politicised initiatives. It demonstrates how money is seemingly being regarded not as a means to an end of heritage conservation as traditionally understood, but as an end in itself. Lastly, the report identifies the internal failings which have allowed the subversion of mission to take place, concluding with recommendations for how to put the National Trust back on track.
